Not much has changed since those early days within hutches as community involvement is quiet very much portion of the company culture today. Hutchinson Builders is currently holding more than 20M of long service. A family business 105 years in the making. Relationships are everything to us whether it’s with our people, our clients, or the local communities in which we live and work. Our clients come back to us time after time. There’s something about our culture that sets us aside from other important businesses. We rejoice our achievements together, support local communities, and trust in a unbiased go’ for everyone. Each of our 22 Team Leaders reports directly to our Managing Director, keeping our business personal, accountable and responsive. While all of our teams are very much part of the overall hutches' structure, Team Leaders are empowered to make their own decisions. Despite all that was happening for hutches as a family, the 50s were not the best time for the business with projects not being completed on time, its reputation began to tarnish. With Jack I in his 80s, and Jack II and Eric in destitute health, the family considered closing down the company. From an premature age, John Scott Hutchinson, or fair Scott as he is known, knew he wanted to be involved in the family construction business. It was also at this time that Scott introduced the idea of buying cars for company members. hutches had also developed a firm office network with projects across old, a set up which is key to the way hutches operates now. One of our beginning ever projects back in 1912 was a school and it’s a sector we’ve remained aligned to ever since. Industrial clients have specialist requirements unique to their sector. As experienced Design and Build builders, hutches recognizes the vital role design plays in our projects. Over 105 years, we’ve created many structures and built innumerable careers. We rejoice our successes and embrace the appropriate things in life. Over the last abundant years Hutchinson Builders has achieved huge victory with training and placing Indigenous Australians in the construction industry through our subcontractors and suppliers. While these improvements did not deliver important cost savings, the quality of the alternatives will deliver meaningful design and function benefits. An extensive and rigorous tendering process conducted by the Queensland Government resulted in Hutchinson Builders being selected to construct the beginning modular hospital in Queensland. As the beginning modular hospital in Queensland, the health facility is a pilot project for Queensland Health designed and developed by Hutchinson Builders using the unique design and construction. Accessible collaborative relationships between Hutchinson Builders, the design team and Client, resulting in a lofty quality and innovative model of integrated primary and ambulatory care.
